Community Health & Wellbeing
The Association considers its staff to be a valuable resource in the organisation and places great importance on staffs’ health, safety and well-being. In 2002 the Association made a commitment to the Scotland’s Health at Work (SHAW) Scheme and achieved the Bronze Award.
When SHAW changed to Healthy Working Lives in 2007 the Association continued its commitment and has now successfully achieved the Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. The Association will continue to lead a health conscious culture that is employee led and supported by the Management Committee.
The Association is currently working to maintain the Gold Award and, in conjunction with the Health Working Lives Group, aims to keep all employees up to date on health issues and become actively involved in leading and promoting health information events aimed at improving the health of employees and the wider community.
The Association will also actively promote Community Health and Well-being as part of the Gold Award Action Plan and details of any events or activities will be advertised on our website.
