Community Projects
At Queens Cross Housing Association (QXHA) we recognise that building a community involves "more than just bricks and mortar." We have set up a number of Supported Projects that are designed to serve the community's wider needs. The Community Services staff are mainly based at the Association's main office at 45 Firhill Rd but staff operate from a variety of bases within the local area. Our key aims are to enable tenants to manage their own homes, provide support to tenants and to develop a sense of community in the area. Some services we have developed to meet the needs of the community are:
- Advice services on money, debt and benefits
- Café and lunch club
- Social events
- IT training courses
- Crèche
- Youth work
- Volunteer co-ordination and support
