Queens Cross Housing Association History
Concern over the deterioration of tenement properties, and the ongoing drop in population within the area prompted the establishment of Queens Cross Housing Association (QXHA) in 1976.
Resolving the communities housing needs and helping the economic growth of the area has been our aim.
Since 1976 QXHA has:
-
Renovated and developed properties for rent, owner occupation and shared ownership.
-
Expanded into community care supporting the elderly and the homeless
-
Transferred homes to Community ownership
-
Developed workspaces and shop units
-
Provided training and development initiatives
We have been at the forefront of the regeneration of the area and we like to think that our work is ‘more than bricks and mortar’.
