There are currently 7 sheltered housing complexes provided by Queens Cross Housing Association (QXHA).

Most are located off Maryhill Road; however there are some being built in the Westercommon area and some within the popular high-rise buildings.

The most obvious advantage of sheltered housing is the comfort of knowing that someone is always available to assist you if you have some kind of immediate difficulty.

Full time Sheltered housing support staff are available on an on call rota system to respond to any sheltered tenants alarm call 24 hrs a day 365 days a year. As part of their duties they will contact tenants each morning to ensure all is well. The support worker will not carry out nursing or personal care, but will ensure tenants receive adequate support from other outside agencies.

There are 15 Sheltered Housing Support Staff 18 full time, 2 part-time and 1 annualised hours sessional sheltered housing support worker available to support sheltered tenants maintain their tenancy.

Sheltered Complex offices are open from (8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday Including Public Holidays) 8.30 am – 12pm Saturday and Sunday)

If you are interested in becoming a Sheltered Housing tenant then please call 0141 945 3003.

Your details will then be taken and a member of the Housing staff will arrange for a Housing Officer and the Sheltered Housing Manager or the Sheltered Housing Supervisor visit you in your own home to complete your application at your convenience.
